Join our team! Faculty members from the Infant and Child Studies research group are looking for outgoing people to assist in recruitment of families for child development research studies. Ideal position for student interested in cognitive or developmental science, marketing/communications/public relations, or science for the public. Enjoying working with kids is a must. Recruiters attend local community events and talk to parents about supporting our research and participating in ICS studies. The schedule is flexible. Hours vary per week depending on the event schedule, ranging from 2-10 most weeks. Pay will thus depend on hours worked any particular week. Recruiters must attend 4 events a semester.
Responsibilities:
-Attend community events and engaging with families
-Recruit participants for child development studies
-Help develop public relationships between local community and ICS
-Marketing for child development research at the University of Maryland-Attend 4 events a semester
-Have weekend availability
-Preferably an undergraduate student
Qualifications:
-Outgoing and Friendly
-Strong communication skills
-Experience working events or event coordination is a plus
