Research Assistant Positions
The Child Development Laboratory
Description:
The Child Development Laboratory, under the direction of Dr. Nathan Fox, is now accepting
applications for our Summer Internship. Successful applicants will work on a project funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, called the Temperament Over Time Study. This large, longitudinal study examines the effects of early temperament on later social and cognitive development. Participants are now entering adolescence, and this position requires being heavily involved in assisting with study visits and data collection. Interns will also gain experience with data entry, behavioral coding, research discussions, EEG, as well as the potential to get involved with additional projects in the lab. Those majoring in Psychology, Human Cognitive or Affective Neuroscience, or other social science related fields are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
-Running study visits, following study protocols
-Literature reviews
-Data entry, video coding
Qualifications:
-Flexible schedule, some weekend availability
-Attention to detail
-Experience working with children and adolescents preferred but not required
