EveryMind’s Crisis Prevention & Intervention services is seeking dedicated interns to work as hotline counselors. Hotline is a 24/7 confidential service which provides supportive listening, crisis intervention and suicide prevention, and information and referrals to the community. All interns are required to attend a 39-hour training class, in addition to four sessions of on-the-phone training. The internship is a great opportunity for college students in the fields of psychology, counseling, or social work to gain experience for graduate school and develop skills to work in mental health.
EveryMind is a leading mental health resource in the DC region offering direct services, information, and referrals for EVERYONE. From school age children to older adults, services include mental health counseling, intensive case management, as well as crisis prevention and intervention.
Internships are available for a semester or the entire school year. All internships are unpaid, but may be eligible for school credit.
