Found in 1952 by a group of parents, The Arc Prince George’s County is one of the most
comprehensive support providers for people with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families. We provide supports for people from birth to seniors including community inclusion, employment training, residential services and advocacy. The Arc Prince George’s County is one of over 700 Arc chapters nationwide. Our national organization is the world’s largest organization committed to the welfare of people with developmental disabilities and their families. The Autism Waiver Team provides Case Management to children receiving services in the Autism Waiver Program and is seeking an Autism Waiver Service Coordinator. Salary in the mid thirties. Job location is in Laurel, MD with option of two days of telework following conditional employment period.
Responsibilities:
-Maintaining and documenting monthly contact with participants and/or families
-Completing quarterly visits and annual re-assessments
-Providing resources to families
-Completing service provider changes
-Monitoring services and treatment plans to ensure quality
-Participating in team meetings
Qualifications:
-Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Family Sciences, or a related human services field
-One year of autism experience
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to work well in a team setting
-Great documentation skills
-Ability to maintain records
-Reliable transportation and a good driving record are required
-Excellent writing and organization skills
-Strong interpersonal skills
