Technica is UMD's all-women hackathon, where women of all different backgrounds come together to create amazing projects alongside inspiring mentors.
Interested in how psychology and technology intersect? In this talk, Dr. Kent Norman, an Associate Professor from the University of Maryland, will cover the spectrum of activities in which humans and technology overlap and the implications on both sides. Dr. Norman will touch on several topics, including issues pertaining to the unique differences between humans and computers, motivation and emotion, and assistive and educational technologies.
Tech + Psychology will take place on Tuesday, October 17, from 7-8 PM in CSI 1122. It'll be fun, informational, and free food will be served afterwards! All majors and genders are welcome!
