Bilingual Chinese/English Research Assistant
SDOS Culture Lab (Social, Decision, and Organizational Sciences Program)
Description:
The Culture Lab, within the Social Decision Making and Organizational Science program of the
psychology department, has a very board interest, including cultural norms and cultural values, negotiation, and conflict. The Lab works with computer scientists, neuroscientists, and political scientists. If hired, research assistants will have the opportunity to work on several social and cross-cultural projects that investigate the normative behavior of people in their daily lives and its mechanisms. All RAs will be trained in high-level research skills, including experimental design, data coding and analysis. In addition, these positions offer an amazing research opportunity for people who want to learn knowledge about cross-cultural and social research, earn experience in highly interdisciplinary field and improve writing skills.
Responsibilities:
-Literature Reviews
-Data Analysis-Data Coding
-6-10 Hours Per Week
Qualifications:
-Bilingual in Chinese and English
-Minimum 3.0 GPA
-Experience with MATLAB, Python, SPSS, or R (preferred but not necessary)
-Excellent writing skills
-Strong problem-solving skills
