Description:
Safe Shores is the only Child Advocacy Center in the District of Columbia. The Center provides forensic evaluations, psychological assessment and counseling as needed to children affected by abuse, trauma, and violence in the DC region. Interns will help implement an evidence-based assessment battery to improve treatment planning and coordinating care. Volunteers will administer and score various assessment tools and track children’s progress over the course of therapy.
Responsibilities:
-Between 4 - 8 hours per week
-Administer assessment tools to children and their families receiving services
Qualifications:
-Students with previous experience in research or clinical work preferred
-Must pass a background check
