The Animal Department at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore offers a very limited number of internship opportunities to undergraduate students working toward a degree in psychology, animal behavior, behavioral biology, zoology, or other related field. Individuals looking to gain experience in this field, but are not currently obtaining a degree may also be considered. Interns will work independently under the supervision of the Animal Behavior & Training Specialist. There are no formal lectures. Further details of our program are listed below.
• One or two internships may be offered each season:
o Spring (January/February-May)
o Summer (May/June-August)
o Fall (August/September-December)
