 Clinical Research Assistant Position (Paid/Full-time) 

Children's National Medical Center Sleep Medicine Dept.  

Description:
This paid research assistantship is an exceptional opportunity for recent undergraduates interested in pursuing psychology graduate study or medical school. The position offers experience in a wide range of bio-behavioral and bio-medical research areas (e.g., clinical trials, interview studies, public health and policy projects) and provides research training in all phases of the research process (e.g., drafting grant submissions, providing background research/literature reviews, editing manuscripts, drafting abstracts, creating posters, and contributing to manuscripts). The clinical research assistant will have the opportunity to learn about sleep’s profound impact on a variety of mental and physical health correlates and will be encouraged to contribute to publications, pursue independent research interests, and to hone research skills that will easily translate to psychology or medical study.

Responsibilities:
-Editing grants, manuscripts, and posters
-Data analysis, entry, and management
-Study coordination
-IRB Processes and regulatory documentation

Qualifications:
-Research experience
-Statistical skills
-Writing skills
-Pre-med or Psychology undergraduate degrees preferred
