MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
University of Baltimore
Still accepting applications for Fall 2014! The Industrial and Organizational Psychology (IOP) concentration within the Applied Psychology Masters of Sciences program at University of Baltimore (UB) develops student competencies in all domains recommended by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP, Division 14 of the American Psychological Association). According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, IOP is the fastest growing occupation (http://www.bls.gov/ooh/fastest-growing.htm; http://abcnews.go.com/Business/americas-20-fastest-growing-jobs-surprise/story?id=22364716) with median pay of nearly $70,000. The IOP program at UB prepares students through real-world experiential learning activities. A unique learning opportunity that only UB’s IOP program offers is a virtual and in-person international collaborative project. Students work on global virtual teams with students from around the globe and then meet in-person for 2 weeks at the University of Valencia, Spain.
UB’s Industrial-Organizational Psychology program is the only terminal Masters program with four full-time faculty in more than a 60-mile radius around the Baltimore metropolitan area. Class sizes are offered in the evenings to accommodate working students and they are small in size so students can receive individualized attention. Located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, with access to federal jobs (e.g., DHS/TSA, NSA), state jobs (e.g., MTA), retail companies (e.g., Under Armour), consulting firms (e.g., HumRRO, IBM), health care (e.g., Johns Hopkins University), research institutes (e.g., IMPAQ International), and other businesses (e.g., Prometrics), our graduates are a hot commodity! We are still accepting applications for Fall 2014.
