Description:
The research assistant is a member of a research team conducting
studies in the area of neurocognitive functioning in pediatric sickle cell
disease. Researchers are exploring the feasibility and efficacy of a
computerized cognitive training intervention program using mHealth
technology. The position involves working with psychologists, post-doctoral
fellows, research assistants, and others members of the sickle cell disease
medical team. Primary duties and responsibilities include participant
recruitment, administration of cognitive tests, data management, use of a
web-based system to remotely track participant progress, purchasing equipment
and supplies, and preparation and collaboration on presentations and
manuscripts.
Qualifications/Requirements:
An bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related behavioral
sciences field is required.
Candidates should have experience coordinating some aspect of
psychological or behavioral research. Prior experience administering
cognitive assessments and managing data is preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable using a variety of
computer-based applications and familiar with basic data management programs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
