Fund for the Public Interest: Employer Networking Sessions

The Fund for the Public Interest partners with more than 50 leading progressive political organizations working to protect the environment, public health, and human rights. Our expertise in grassroots outreach provides our partners with the money, members and public support needed to overcome powerful opposition. We're looking for dedicated, hard-working college graduates to run our campaign offices around the country year-round. We will be holding an information session at UMD on March 11th, at 4 P.M. where we will be scouting potential candidates for one of our citizen outreach positions.

Child Family Health International (CFHI) : Employer Networking Sessions

CFHI - 25 Global Health Programs in 6 Countries - www.cfhi.org
Child Family Health International (CFHI) is a nonprofit recognized by the United Nations that offers socially responsible Global Health Internships for students of all levels interested in health or medicine. CFHI staff will be hosting an info session on campus on Tuesday March 12th at 4pm in 3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing. They will discuss and take questions on their global health programs abroad and scholarship opportunities, application process, and what to expect on a CFHI program. Through CFHI participants go on 4-16 week placements alongside local healthcare professionals in underserved communities. Participants rotate through clinics and public health facilities, attend health lectures, and become immersed in the healthcare system of the community. Over 50% of CFHI program fees go back to underserved communities abroad.

Southwest Airlines : Employer Networking Sessions

Southwest Airlines is now recruiting for Fall 2013 Internships.
Internships are paid and include free space available flight benefits on Southwest. We also have a casual dress code as well.
Our “No Limits” Internship Program gives students quality real-world experience, an insider’s glance into this fascinating industry, and is guaranteed to be a FUN semester! The goal of the “No Limits” Internship is to provide Interns with interactive learning opportunities and hands-on business experience. Each Intern will be exposed to practical workplace skills needed for his/her business field. The Intern will be able to validate his/her career decisions through this opportunity to apply classroom knowledge.

ING Financial Partners Networking Session: Employer Networking Sessions

ING Financial Partners will be sponsoring a special career expo here at The University of Maryland. This is the best way to find out about the career and begin the selection process. What a financial adviser does: • Identifies and sets appointments with potential clients. • Meets with clients to assess their financial needs. • Develops a customized financial plan to address each client’s outlined goals. • Maintains strong relationships with clients, helping them to track their progress over time. • Provides ongoing consultation and support.
