FREE TO ALL UMD STUDENTS
Active Minds is a national network of thousands of college students working to create campuses where students feel encouraged to speak openly about mental health and seek help. We have over 360 student-led chapters at colleges/universities across the country – with one of our best chapters at the University of Maryland.
This year, we are having our 8th National Mental Health on Campus Conference at the University of Maryland from November 18-20. This annual event is the only national conference addressing college student mental health and young adult advocacy. The Active Minds conference educates, energizes and inspires the next generation of mental health advocates. This year's event will bring together students, faculty, staff, administrators, experts and supporters to network, learn from each other, and share resources and ideas for future campus programming.
This 3-day conference is FREE for all UMaryland students, faculty, and administration. I encourage you all to join us for conference this year, and also encourage your students to come! You can register at www.activeminds.org/conference.
Students, this is also a great opportunity to gain some valuable volunteer experience. Visit www.activeminds.org/volunteer for details on how to get involved.
