Mental Health Advocacy Internship

Description:
Active Minds is a national nonprofit organization that empowers students to speak openly about mental health in order to educate others and encourage help-seeking. We are changing the culture on campuses and in the community by providing information, leadership opportunities and advocacy training to the next generation. The Programs Intern position is a part of the Programs Team and will work closely on projects ranging from planning our national programs, including our National Conference and Send Silence Packing, our suicide awareness traveling display (check it out at www.sendsilencepacking.org), to creating educational content and resources for our student leaders.
Responsibilities:
-25 hours per week
-Projects inclusive of both national and student led campaigns
-Help plan and execute National Conference
-Create educational content and resources
Qualifications:
-Creative, out of box thinking with flexible work styles
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Detail oriented and well organized
-Ability to prioritize, be dependable, and manage projects
-Ability to work in a flexible, fun, and team oriented environment
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the desire to learn new software
