Child Life Volunteer Opportunity at Children's National Medical Center!

The Child Life Specialists of Children's National Medical Center are currently seeking volunteers to help support patients and families. Volunteers will work in three sectors of the hospital including inpatient, outpatient, and the emergency department. 

Description:
This volunteer experience is beneficial for all students seeking experience with children and families.

Responsibilities:
-Provide support to patients and families at bedside and playrooms
-Provide support in radiology and surgery waiting areas
-Provide activities for patients and families while in waiting area
-Support other emergency department initiatives focusing on patient satisfaction

Qualifications:
-Outgoing, hardworking, resourceful, and independent personality
-Interest in hospital related setting such as Child Life, Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Public Health, or Social Work
-Able to perform a 72 hour commitment of 3 hour weekly shifts
