Description:
MATClinics is a monthly maintenance, medication assisted treatment center with locations in Dundalk, Towson, Laurel, and Annapolis. MATClinics combines Suboxone (and other buprenorphine based medications) with counseling and psychiatry to help patients overcome the physical, emotional, and social barriers associated with recovery and opioid use disorder. We are also able to administer monthly injections such as Vivitrol and Sublocade.
MATClinics was founded in 2016 to treat those suffering from opioid use disorder through the use of Medication Assisted Treatment. MATClinics is a fast-growing start-up with four locations and at least one more location opening next year. MATClinics distinguishes itself in the healthcare field by utilizing technology and data to optimize patient care and improve operational efficiency. To that end, MATClinics is always looking to add thoughtful, highly-motivated, and curious staff to further its mission.
Case Management Intern (2-3 positions)
Case Management interns at MATClinics will primarily assist our case managers with calling new patients to follow-up after their first appointment, researching counseling programs for individual patients, and helping identify patient resources. Interns will also have the opportunity to shadow a medical assistant, a provider (NP, Dr., or PA), a group counselor, a case manager, and an outreach coordinator. Other tasks may include but are not limited to creating information brochures for both patients and outreach partners about MAT and opioid use disorder, confirming appointments, office administration assistance, site visits at other treatment centers, attending staff meetings, attending community health meetings, conferences and tabling events, and writing blog posts for our website.
MATClinics interns who are receiving class credit through a university program will not be financially compensated.
