Description:
Are you looking to gain dynamic, hands-on research experience? The Lab for the Study of Child and Family Relationships (LSCFR) is looking for both masters- and undergraduate-level research assistants. The LSCFR's work revolves around applied research on the effects of intervention experiences for socially anxious and withdrawn children. Their study examines how two different programs for very shy young children and their parents might help children gain confidence in social settings and develop positive relationships. They have begun a new study observing preschoolers in the classroom setting to understand friendships, social interaction, and play behaviors.
Research Assistants will also be able to assist with a dissertation study comparing adolescents' face-to-face and virtual communication and the role of personality traits in those social interactions.
Research Assistants will have the opportunity to complete a senior research thesis during senior year in the lab.
How To Apply:
Please submit application HERE along with cover letter and resume/CV to the Lab Manager, Lindsay Druskin at ldruskin@umd.edu
