Research Assistant (male) position for NIMH study on social behavior in psychosis.
Description:
Dr.Blanchard's NIMH-funded lab conducts research on how psychotic disorders can interfere with healthy social relationships. Currently he is studying how social affliation is altered in psychosis using behavioral assessments along with brain imaging (fMRI). Responsibilities:
1) Conduct structured social interactions with research participants at the Marylanhttp://www.mnc.umd.edu/home
2) Accompany participants during their imaging assessment.
3) Attend weekly lab meetings.
Requirements:
* Since the lab already has female staff we are in need of male research assistants to conduct research assessments with our female research participants.
* Minimum 3.2 GPA
* Must be able to provide a 2 semester commitment (through 2017-2018 academic year)
* Pass fMRI safety screening and safety training.
* Ideally suited for Psychology majors interested in graduate school or medical school.
