Research Assistant Positions

Description:
Are you interested in learning more about how we process music and how music lessons and musical ability affect other perceptual and cognitive abilities? Or more about how we produce words and sentences and how we learn second languages, and how bilinguals process two (or more) languages? Are you considering applying to graduate school (especially in psychology, cognitive science, or linguistics)? If so, consider applying for a research assistant position in the Language and Music Cognition Laboratory http://lmcl.umd.edu/ to help out with research projects investigating the cognition of language, music, and bilingualism. We ask for a nine hour per week, two semester commitment, and offer 3 credits in PSYC 479 each semester. Applicants should have at least a 3.0 GPA. Previous research experience would be beneficial, but is not required.
Responsibilities:
-9 hour per week commitment
-Collecting and coding data
-Attending lab meetings
Qualifications:
-3.0+ GPA
-Detail oriented
-Highly motivated
