Alumni Association Scholarships
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled full-time (12+ credits) in both the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters at the University of Maryland, College Park. Competitive applicants should have a 3.0 GPA or higher, show commitment to the university community through on-campus and/or off-campus involvement, and exhibit Terp Pride.
Applicants will be evaluated on leadership, involvement, service (to their community, UMD or otherwise), and academic excellence. Legacy status (a family member of the applicant attended the University of Maryland, College Park) is an additional element of the review process, but is not a requirement for consideration.
Undergraduate recipients will receive a $2,000 award and graduate recipients will receive a $3,000 award. Awards be be applied to the recipient’s student account (with the Office of Student Financial Aid) and divided evenly between the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters.
