Considering a second major? Learn why employers value Interdisciplinary Studies Skills!

An Employer’s Perspective: The Value of Interdisciplinary Studies in the Workforce
Tuesday, April 16, 2013 • 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
Location: Resource Room - University Career Center & The President's Promise

Are you often asked about what you will DO with your women's studies, LGBT studies, American studies, and/or other interdisciplinary major? Hear from employers in a variety of industries about why they value your skill set. Although this program is being organized by the Women’s Studies Department, students from all majors (especially liberal arts fields such as African American Studies, LGBT Studies, American Studies, Jewish Studies, Latin American Studies, etc.) are more than welcome to attend. The event will consist of a 45-minute panel discussion, followed by a networking social. RSVP for this event: http://www.careers.umd.edu/events_description.cfm?event_id=3886.
