- The developmental origins of our body’s stress response system and how the stress system is related to risk and resiliency in early childhood
- The effects of early life experience on children’s neurobiological, affective, cognitive and social development
- The neurobiological basis of emotion regulation in childhood
- Mental health problems in preschool-age children
- Engage in research with young children
- Receive supervised training in a research laboratory
- Learn about child psychopathology
- Receive advice regarding graduate school and careers in psychology
- Earn course credit
- Experience with or interest in working with elementary school aged children
- Able to commit to Summer and Fall 2013 semesters for a minimum of 9 hours/week
