PSYC Major Elective Course Option: FMSC 405: LGBTQ+ INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES

FMSC 405: LGBTQ+ INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES
What explains why some people are healthy and others are not? This course explores how development, relationships, and social environments shape the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people across the life course. Along the way, we’ll build tools for understanding how sexuality, gender, race, class, and other social locations can structure people’s experiences in different ways. Pre-req waived with instructor’s permission!

Instructor: Dr. Bishop, Assistant Prof. of Family Health, mbishop3@umd.edu
