Volunteer Research Assistant Opportunities with The Emotions, Equity, and Education Lab

The Emotions, Equity, and Education Lab is seeking
volunteer undergraduate students to help with the
transcription and possibly coding and thematic analysis of the qualitative interviews, as well as to support recruitment for the quantitative questionnaires for the Developing Resilience, Emotional, and Academic Support for Immigrant Students (DREAM) Study.

Through this study, we are investigating culturally-relevant supports provided by K-12 school counselors, psychologists, and teachers who work with immigrant students. We hope to gain insight into how school counselors, school psychologists, and teachers can foster positive emotions, healing around stress, and academic functioning in immigrant students. We seek to understand the unique educational, psychological, and relational needs and strengths of immigrant student populations from the perspective of the school counselors, school psychologists, and teachers who support them.

Responsibilities:
Transcribing qualitative interviews.
Supporting recruitment.
5-10 hours a week.
Attend regular check-ins.

How To Apply:
Please email cpatriar@umd.edu with a resume/CV if interested. We will then set up a time to conduct an interview and talk more about the project.
