This is a 12 month position, not seasonal.
Weekdays twice a week, 8-10 hours/week.
$30/hour
Responsibilities:
Seeking a warm, patient, and encouraging female to provide support to our autistic non-binary young adult (preferred pronouns they/them). We are specifically seeking supports for our 24 year old who is bright, warm and insightful. They have interests in Minecraft, true crime books, podcasts and movies, love music, writing fan fiction, and linguistics to name a few of their interests. They were previously attending community college and completed two years of educational coursework.
We are looking for a support person who is able to help with skills such as setting up and following daily routines, task initiation, and flexibility. In addition, someone who is able to provide support in
community/social settings.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The goal of this position is to provide our young adult with scaffolding over time to increase their
independence. No personal care or nursing care required. The applicant must have or be willing to get certification in CPR and first-aid training. These certifications can
be reimbursed. Also required:
- Background check
- Have reliable transportation/insurance
- LGBT friendly
- Comfortable with small pets (gerbils)
