Research Assistant Positions with The Neurocognitive Development Lab. Application deadline is August 1st.

The Neurocognitive Development Lab (NCDL) 
investigates the development of cognitive abilities, such as memory, in infants and young children. We are especially interested in how changes in these abilities are related to brain development. Multiple tools are used to address this issue including studying children’s overt behavior and their brain structure and function. Currently, the NCDL is running two large NIH-funded studies: one focused on the influence of napping behavior and sleep on memory in preschoolers and one focused on brain development in infants.

Responsibilities:
-In-home data collection with preschoolers
-MRI scanner “buddy” for infants and preschoolers
-Interact with young participants and their families
-Assist with recruitment
-Process biospecimen

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Good communication skills
-Ability to work with both children and adults
-Organized
-Prompt
-Commitment for two semesters
-Weekly hours range from 6-9 hours a week, including nights and weekends.
