Volunteer To Make A Difference In A Child's Life as a Play Ranger with The Playtime Project. Eligible for PSYC 389 Internship Credit for Spring 2025.

Play Rangers engage with children experiencing  
housing insecurity during weekly play programs, where
children participate in socioemotional skill-building 
activities and free play. 

Virtual Orientation and Play Ranger Training: 
Saturday, October 12th & Thursday, October 24th:

The mission of Playtime Project (Playtime) is to cultivate resilience in children experiencing family housing insecurity by providing and expanding access to transformative play experiences.

Goals and Mission:
-Creating ongoing play opportunities that nurture healthy child development
-Challenging systemic injustice by advocating for policies and practices that -reduce the risk of chronic homelessness
-Connecting families with critical support services and supplies in the community to meet their concrete needs


Requirements:
-1-2 Evenings Per Week
-Flexible Schedule
-Prefer 6 Month Commitment but will consider 3 months for summer students

Play Rangers may choose to be assigned to a program site in Washington DC (NE, NW) or Prince George's County (Greenbelt, Beltsville, Capitol Heights)
