Smith School is looking for research assistants (RAs) to help run cutting-edge management studies alongside its faculty and PhD students during the Fall 2021 Semester.
These studies will run weekly from September 20th until December 10th. Current available hours are 9am-6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 9am-11pm and 5pm-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some weeks have available Friday sessions. Applicants do not need to be available for all hours listed.
Training is provided to RAs before the start of each new study by faculty and PhD researchers.
Undergraduate pay: $11.50/hr
Graduate pay: $16/hr
-Preparing the study rooms before data collection. This includes uploading survey links on computers and organizing the set-up of the room as required.
-Greeting participants in the lab and marking their participation on the SONA system.
-Troubleshooting any technical problems happening throughout the study
-Maintaining a record of participants’ comments and any problems that occurred during the study to report back to researchers.
Qualifications:
-Must be enrolled as an undergrad or graduate student at the University of Maryland.
-Must be able to speak in front of medium to large-sized groups (with the help of a script).
-Must be punctual. Sessions must start on time (every hour on the hour).
