Dr. Joshua Sandry at Montclair State University is inviting applicants for a research assistant position to work on a project in collaboration with Kessler Foundation. The project focuses on examining neural correlates of working memory in individuals with traumatic brain injury.
Responsibilities may include the following:
Recruit/enroll research participants
Schedule and coordinate study visits
Interview participants according to research protocols
Administer neuropsychological test batteries
Coordinate/monitor MRI data collection
Conduct and/or assist with data analyses
Manage electronic and paper databases
Assist with the preparation of grant applications (including the preparation of supporting documents, editing of the proposal, literature reviews), manuscripts, and presentations.
Qualifications include the following:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral or biological sciences or a related discipline
Previous experience in academic and/or clinical research
Excellent administrative and problem-solving skills
Proficient computer skills (especially Word and Excel); and
Strong communication/writing skills
Candidates must be comfortable working in a medical setting.
Experience/familiarity with data analysis software is a plus.

This position entails study coordination as part of a team, across multiple funded studies of longitudinal child development directed by Dr. Laurie Wakschlag and Dr. Elizabeth Norton. This program of research aims to characterize early developmental patterns related to disruptive behavior, executive function, and language delay.
The main responsibility of the research study coordinator will be coordinating the neuroimaging assessments, specifically MRI and EEG, across multiple inter-related studies on early childhood risk
factors for adverse outcomes. The ideal candidate will be certified and have experience operating a Siemens scanner and directing MRI acquisition sessions with pediatric participants. Experience conducting MRI sessions with neonates, infants, and toddlers is strongly preferred. Familiarity with MRI image quality control is also required. This position will lead sessions collecting MRI data from infants and toddlers during natural sleep, and coordinate the scheduling of MRI sessions, prepare children for scanning, set up equipment, monitor the child during the scan, and other activities as needed.
The research study coordinator position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong attention to detail. The candidate must be able to interact comfortably and professionally with diverse families and young children. The ability to work flexibly across multiple demands and balance administrative skills related to study coordination is crucial. We are looking for a team player who is willing to take initiative and learn a variety of responsibilities. Ability to think on your feet and a capacity to proactively identify and solve problems are essential traits. Flexibility in hours, including evenings and weekends, is required (though work week hours are capped and strictly followed). Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism are essential. The UCR Perception, Action, and Development laboratory (padlab.ucr.edu) is looking to hire a 30-hour/week research coordinator to help run an NSF-funded study of infants' everyday visual, auditory, and motor experiences. The position would last 2 years and will receive full benefits. Part of the research coordinator's responsibilities includes making visits to participants' homes to drop off recording equipment in the Riverside County area, so fully remote work is not possible for this position. The research coordinator will have opportunities to master a variety of recording techniques---wearable inertial sensors, head-mounted eye trackers, and LENA audio recorders---and gain experience with in-demand machine learning analyses.

We are recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator to help investigators conduct behavioral and multi-modal neuroimaging research examining both normal and abnormal brain development. Psychiatric disorders are increasingly understood as disorders of brain development, and our research seeks to situate mental illness in a developmental context. To do this, we use advanced multi-modal MRI imaging and detailed measures of cognition and clinical symptomatology. The position will draw on a wide range of skills and provide learning opportunities in diverse areas.
Responsibilities will include assisting with recruitment and acquisition of data for behavioral and multi-modal MRI data, cognitive assessment of both healthy children and those with psychiatric disorders, image analysis, maintenance of regulatory documents, and correspondence. The Research Assistant – in a part-time role – is involved in recruiting and testing participants for a new grant-funded study of monolingual and bilingual young children. They will be trained to run eye tracking and memory flexibility, studies and collect data in the field and to work on the collaborative PLAY study.
