This position is generally the first point of contact for someone visiting the Department. This position will manage and monitor a wide range of the day-to-day administrative functions of the Department, provide support for faculty, serve as the department representative to the Department of Transportation and building security, assist with department travel and manage the department conference rooms, mailboxes and supplies. -Ability to successfully work with various campus constituencies, including students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
-Ability to work independently with strong initiative and a high attention to detail.
-Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, complex environment.
-Ability to work as part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
-Ability to triage multiple concerns of faculty, staff, students, and administrators while assessing priorities and adhering to strict deadlines.
-Strong communication and writing skills.
-Bachelors degree AND Two years experience in administrative staff work.
