Full-Time Research Assistant
Children's National Health System
Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders

The Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (CASD) at Children’s National Health System is seeking
applications for a full-time Research Assistant. Our research program focuses on improving outcomes in autism, including:

-Executive functioning phenotyping and intervention development (from early childhood to
transition age)
-Addressing disparities in access to care

Research assistants at CASD work collaboratively on a variety of research projects, including intervention, phenotyping, and functional imaging research. Our multidisciplinary research faculty members all work closely with research coordinators to provide supervision on individual projects and mentorship for career goals. General responsibilities include clinical assessment, parent interviews, participant recruitment, data collection and management, and IRB protocol management. Additional training and experience in grant preparation, data analysis, neuroimaging preprocessing and analytics, and development of manuscripts is also available. A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts is required. A strong background in psychology, biology, and/or health sciences is preferred. Prior experience with research, statistics, and/or children with disabilities is strongly recommended. This position provides valuable experience and publication opportunities for candidates interested in pursuing degrees in psychology or medicine.

Applications are being accepted immediately for a spring/summer start date. We require at least a one-year commitment, but prioritize applicants who are interested in a two-year position. Salary is competitive. The Children’s National Hospital is an equal opportunity employer.
