Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention
$17/Hour

Description:
The Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention at the University of Maryland College Park (UMD), is seeking part-time, hourly research assistants (RAs) to work on a project to evaluate the efficacy of the Children Study Their World (CSW) pre-k curriculum. RAs would be part of a busy and thriving research-to-practice team at UMD. This position is ideal for current UMD students or recent UMD graduates wanting to work with children and teachers.

Responsibilities:
The RA duties for this position are primarily related to data collection for the evaluation of the curriculum. Specifically, RAs will administer a series of assessments to pre-k students, conduct classroom observations, and complete data entry. Although the project is housed at UMD, College Park, data collection occurs in Head Start classrooms in and around Baltimore City and County. Given that the data collection occurs in different schools, ideally, candidates will have access to a car and be available to travel both to and around the Baltimore area. Mandatory training takes place in March at UMD in College Park.
