Description:
The Maryland Psychotherapy Clinic and Research Lab (MPCRL) provides high-quality, low-cost counseling and psychotherapy to adults in the Prince George's, Montgomery County, and Washington, D.C. area. Treatment focuses on insight and understanding difficulties in relationship problems, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and meaning of life. Research conducted in the lab aims to study the effectiveness of psychotherapy. The lab is looking for motivated undergraduate research assistants for the Summer 2019 and Fall 2019 semesters. Students will be required to work a total of 8-9 hours per week. This work will be split between working in the research clinic, and working on a team in order to aid completion in an independent research study. Research Assistant responsibilities include behavioral coding, transcribing, and other administrative tasks.
