Kurtz Psychology hosts a limited number of undergraduates for unpaid summer internships. The summer 2019 internship starts June 3, 2019, ending August 16, 2019 with the end of our summer Mighty Mouth Kids Camp program. This internship is designed primarily for advanced undergraduates as a pre-professional mental health training experience in research and clinical behavioral interventions. Interns participate in our didactic trainings and seminars. Interns are assigned a mentor and will assist with a research project to be worked on during the summer. Interns also are actively involved as counselors in our flagship selective mutism program – Mighty Mouth Kids Camp, as well as being heavily involved in the day-to-day work of our practice. Interns will routinely be able to observe live treatment sessions of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

To apply, please:
Send your resume and a cover letter of intent confirming your availability for all weeks continuously from June 3 – August 16, 2019 by email to training@kurtzpsychology.com. Please elaborate on your professional goals at this point.

Have two letters of reference sent directly via email to us. We prefer one of the two recommendation letters from a supervisor who know you in a clinical or training context and one from your college faculty mentor or a professor if you don’t have a specific mentor.
