Research Assistant Positions
Neurocognitive Development Lab
Description:
Are you interested in cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and working with children? Want to get experience working with specialized tools like polysomnography (PSG) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)? The Neurocognitive Development lab under Dr. Tracy Riggins is seeking undergraduate research assistants to begin in the Summer and/or Fall 2019 semesters to work on an NIH- and NSF-funded longitudinal study on memory, brain development, and sleep in preschoolers.
Responsibilities:
-A two-semester commitment is required (can include winter/summer semesters)
-At least 6 hrs/week are required to receive PSYC479 credit
-Participant recruitment
-Assist with fMRI study visits
-Opportunity to assist with data collection at subject home visits
-Data entry
-Data organization
-Opportunity to perform data analysis
-Attend weekly lab meetings
Qualifications:
-Minimum 3.3 GPA
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Experience working with children
-Interest in developmental neuroscience
-Some weekend availability is required
