Description:
The Learning Assistance Service (LAS) is the academic support unit of the University Counseling Center. LAS provides services that help students develop personal and academic strategies to empower them to be successful in college and life. All LAS services are free to UMD students.

Final Workshops of the Semester:
All workshops are held 4:15-5:15 pm in 2202 Shoemaker.

Prepare for Exams with LAS Final Tips:
Stop by LAS to get our "TEST-U-can-DO it" handout of helpful tips to prepare for finals and minimize stress, or access it here on our website. You can also pick one up at various locations throughout campus - including McKeldin, The Stamp, MICA, OMSE, and the SORC.

Guided Study Sessions (GSS):
GSS sessions are led by undergraduate students who have  previously demonstrated academic excellence in completing their GSS course.  GSS leaders will help you review lecture material, work through homework and problem-solving exercises, and review for exams.  Click here to see the GSS schedule and get to know our GSS leaders! 

MAP Learning Program:
Get a fresh start for next semester! Meet with a MAP coach for a minimum of three sessions to:
-Identify academic strengths and areas of growth
-Complete a learning skills inventory and analyze results
-Learn new strategies
-Explore available resources
-Develop measurable goals related to your academic success
