Summer 2017 Research Assistant Positions
The Cognition and Development Lab
Description:
The Cognition & Development Lab, co-directed by Dr. Lucas Butler and Dr. Richard Prather, is seeking highly motivated and dependable research assistants for Summer 2017. Research assistants will have the opportunity to work on several different projects investigating children's early social and cognitive development. Research assistants will be responsible for a variety of daily lab activities, including data coding and entry, participant recruitment, and hands-on testing with 3 to 5 year old children. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in graduate school, or those interested in gaining valuable research experience. PSYC and EDHD course credit available. Responsibilities:
-6 to 9 hours per week in lab
-Attend bi-weekly lab meetings
-Data coding and entry
-Participant recruitment
-Subject Testing
-Stimulus Development
Qualifications:
-Minimum 3.2 GPA
-1 Semester commitment required (2 semesters preferred)
-Experience working with children
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Detail-oriented
-Strong organizational skills
-Completed PSYC 100 (preferred)
