The Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park is currently recruiting for a full-time Clinical Research Assistant position (formal title will be “Faculty Assistant”) to start on or around June 1, 2017. This position will be part of Dr. Jack Blanchard's NIMH-funded lab focusing on social impairment in psychotic disorders. The study incorporates clinical symptom interviews, behavioral assessments and structural and functional brain imaging (fMRI). This position would provide an exceptional opportunity for students interested in eventually applying for graduate school in clinical psychology or a related area.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field is required. Research or clinical experience is preferred. Maturity, the ability to work collaboratively, attention to detail, and organizational skills are required. A 2-year commitment is preferred.
Responsibilities:
This full-time (40 hours/week) position will involve the recruitment of potential research participants across clinical sites, conducting clinical interviews and administering standardized assessments, data management, and participating in other research related activities such as IRB compliance. The position will include responsibilities at research sites in College Park, Silver Spring/Bethesda, and at the School of Medicine in Baltimore (this will require reliable transportation to these sites).
