Description: 
The Montgomery County Family Justice Center (FJC) Volunteer and Internship Program provides interns with a unique opportunity to learn about domestic violence intervention on a direct service level. Interns will learn about the FJC model, dynamics of domestic violence, and systems response. Interns receive training and supervision from the FJC Staff, assist with reception and intake responsibilities, maintain FJC databases, and will work closely with the FJC Victim Assistants. Students interested in the following areas are highly encouraged to apply: social work, public health, criminal justice, crisis intervention, and/ or family dynamics.

Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school
• Complete an online application (see link below)

• Agree to an interview (if selected after resume and application submission)
• Successfully complete a criminal background investigation (if selected after an interview)

Interns are required to work at least 16 hours per week, with at least one full day 8:30am-5pm shift. Friday shift availability is very limited.
