Description:
The University of Maryland Prevention and Early Adversity Research Lab has specialized positions available for students who are interested in studying early education. We are conducting research on the benefits of pre-kindergarten on children’s readiness to attend formalized schooling. Specific tasks include scoring assessments, data entry, data management, study prep, and additional laboratory tasks. These opportunities present a great experience to prepare for Graduate School! • Learn about doing science with formal assessments • Be involved in entering and cleaning data • Work as a team in a fun, collegial atmosphere • Your ideas and perceptions are taken seriously by team members and team leaders Requirements to Apply: • A genuine interest in children and their development and education • Ability to work with peers and supervisors 

Responsibilities:
-Minimum 9 hrs per week
-Data entry
-Data cleaning
-Scoring instruments
-Data management
-Stimuli prep
-Study prep

Qualifications:
-Must be a student at UMD
-Must have interest in early education
-Must be organized and reliable
