The mission of CECEI is to conduct high quality research on early childhood education and early practices, to build capacity in schools and communities, and to promote family engagement in their children’s education.

Responsibilities:
-Primary responsibilities pertain to evaluation of Maryland’s Preschool Expansion Grant
-Collect data for study of the effects of a preschool intervention in Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS)
-Collaborate with BCPS staff who will be involved in the study
-Administer child assessments as needed using formal assessment tools
-Maintain quality control of child assessments
-Contribute to reports and manuscripts summarizing data

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Development, Education or related area (e.g., Family Science)
-Some knowledge of early childhood intervention
-Capacity to engage young children
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Capacity to work independently
