George Washington U. Seeking Bilingual (English/Spanish) Part-Time Volunteer Research Assistant

Description:  
·         We are seeking bilingual (English/Spanish) students interested in gaining research experience in psychological and community-based survey study. 
·         Research assistants (RAs) will work closely with advanced Graduate Students and Research Investigator and will be responsible for the following:
·         work in community based health centers and/or local community events in the Washington DC area to conduct surveys;
·         Transcribe and analyze transcripts of qualitative interviews
·         assist in data entry and analysis;
·         work with other research assistants and staff at the community based center/hospitals;
·         and have excellent organizational skills.

Requirements: Students in Psychology or related field who are committed to working with low-income, community populations. He/she will be working closely with staff at the community based agency and with investigators and research staff at George Washington University. This position requires a minimum of  6-8 hours a week for at least a 6-month commitment.

The Mothers And Babies Project: This research project aims to understand the relationship between social support and depression/anxiety and the transition to parenthood in Spanish-speaking Latina immigrants

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing graduate school in psychology, medical school, and related areas.
