Autism Movie Event and Guest Panel!

The University of Maryland Autism Research Consortium (UMARC) is an interdisciplinary group of
researchers in the Departments of Hearing and Speech Sciences, Psychology, Human Development, Linguistics, Kinesiology, and Special Education at the University of Maryland. Our goal is to advance the understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in children and adults, and to contribute to the development of effective treatments and interventions In honor of Autism Awareness month, The University of Maryland Autism Research Consortium is partnering with the Maryland Chapter of the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Associated to show The Story of Luke with a panel discussion following the film. The film is about a young man with autism who is on a quest for a job and a girlfriend. The event will take place Saturday April 11, 2015 from 2pm-5pm in the Hoff Theater. Tickets can be purchased at http://umdtickets.com. Student tickets are $3.50 and general admission is $6.00.
