Undergraduate Research Assistant Position
Center for Addictions, Personality, and Emotions Research
Description:
The Center for Addictions, Personality, and Emotions Research (CAPER) is seeking 2 volunteer research assistants to work on the Lets Act Study. The aim of Lets Act is to evaluate a group therapy treatment for depressed substance users who are in residential substance use treatment in Washington DC.
Responsibilities:
-Data Entry in SPSS
-Assisting with administrative duties in the lab (e.g. compiling assessment packets, organizing data, etc.)
-Learning and utilizing a structured clinical interview (SCID)
-Research Assessments at the Drug Treatment Center (optional after experience)
Qualifications:
-8 to 10 hours per week (weekdays between 9 am-6 pm preferred)
-Ability to respond to e-mails on weekdays within 24 hours
-SPSS Data Entry experience is helpful, but not required
-Two semester commitment preferred (paid positions and conference presentations may be available after one year of working on the study)
