Description:
The child life specialists of Children’s National are currently seeking volunteers to help support patients and families. The organization is looking for special category volunteers to work in three sectors of our hospital: inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department. These volunteers will be providing activities and support to patients and families in these areas. Sought are outgoing, hardworking, resourceful and independent personalities who are looking for meaningful volunteer experience and are dedicated to making a difference in the community. This volunteer opportunity would be beneficial for all students seeking experience with children and families. It would also be ideal for those interested in hospital settings; such as Child Life, nursing, early childhood education, social work and those interested in public health. **There is currently a high need for inpatient unit volunteers Monday -Friday 9:30 am-5 pm**

Responsibilities and Requirements:
-72 Hour commitment
-Inpatient shifts are available M-F 9:30 am-5:00 pm
-Outpatient shifts are available M-F 7:30 am-4:00 pm
-Emergency Department shifts are available 7 days per week 1:30 pm-9:00 pm

Qualifications:
-Previous experience with children preferred
-Great opportunity for students interested in working in the medical field
