Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland
Spring Internships
Gain in-depth training, mentoring, and real world experience as a Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland intern. Students who complete an internship with Meals and Wheels are able to manage a real world career and often find positions based on this internship experience.
Internships are customized for each individual student. Meals and Wheels offers flexible hours and the ability to accommodate the requirements of different colleges and universities. All interns are assigned an appropriate mentor and receive guidance in fulfilling their school's requirements.
Interested students should contact Barbara Levin, M.Ed., Director of Client Services at 443-573-0946 or e-mail levin@mowcm.org to arrange for an in-person interview.
Note: Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland serves approximately 1400 home bound seniors and disabled adults in the Baltimore metropolitan area each day. (The organization provides food for seniors through senior centers.) Meals On Wheels not only provides our clients with food, but also provides many additional services. For many of our clients, Meals On Wheels is their only real contact with the outside world, the only thing that stands between their ability to remain living independently in the community, and their being forced to move out of the homes they love and into a nursing home or other institution.
Please be advised: Meals On Wheels conducts criminal background checks on 100% of our volunteer and intern applicants.
