The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) is the only national organization in the United States representing physician assistant (PA) educational programs. PAEA serves as a resource for individuals and organizations from various professional sectors interested in the educational aspects of the PA profession. The Association is the organization primarily responsible for collecting, publishing, and disseminating information on the PA programs. PAEA provides effective representation to affiliated organizations involved in health education, health care policy, and the national certification of PA graduates. PAEA works to ensure quality PA education through the development and distribution of educational services and products specifically geared toward meeting the emerging needs of PA programs, the PA profession, and the health care industry.

Job Summary:
The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) seeks a detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated intern to support its Research Department. The intern will assist with literature searches, data analysis, survey development, and other research-related activities. The goal of the internship is to promote an interest to pursue a career conducting health policy or education research in the non-profit sector.

Job Responsibilities:
· Assist with the collection, entry, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, including constructing figures and tables.
· Assist with survey development and implementation (e.g., building surveys, tracking response rates, sending reminders).
· Conduct literature reviews and background research on issues relevant to PA education.
· Draft, edit, and review department work products (e.g., proposals, fact sheets, and presentations).
· Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
· College student of junior or senior standing who is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in psychology, statistics, health sciences, or related field; enrollment in a master’s degree program preferred.
· At least two courses in research methods and statistics.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, take initiative, and work well in a team environment.
· Proficiency in MS Office, Excel required.
· Knowledge of Qualtrics online survey software and SPSS experience preferred.

This is a part-time internship from January to May 2014. Stipend is available.
