RA needed for CAPER decision making reward study!

Undergraduate Research Assistant Position
Center for Addictions, Personality, and Emotion Research (CAPER)
University of Maryland

Description:
The Center for Addictions, Personality, and Emotion Research (CAPER) within the UMD Psychology Department is seeking an undergraduate research assistant for a study examining the differences in decision making between cigarette smokers and non-smokers. The study will focus on the decision making process of weighing the options of choosing an immediate reward, or choosing to wait for a bigger, better reward option at a future date. Research will involve applying a strategy to attempt to help individuals stay committed to a bigger, better, future reward.

Responsibilities:
-Minimum of six hours per week
-Commitment for one complete semester
-Data Entry
-Administer questionnaires to participants
-Contact participants by phone

Qualifications:
-Prerequisites: PSYC 100 or relevant experience coursework in social science, health, or economic related fields
-3.0 or higher GPA
-Previous research experience is preferred
-Experience working with SPSS and Excel is preferred
