Description:
The Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) is looking for students to join their master's program on campus next fall! A background in Psychology is ideal for the program. Graduating seniors or alumni with an interest in how people and technology work together are encouraged to apply.
The program is interdisciplinary, bringing in students with backgrounds in math and computer science, the physical sciences, social sciences, and humanities. It is a two-year master of science program, and by the end you will learn a wide range of skills:
- User interface design and testing (how to create good ways for people to use technology and how to prove that they are good)
- Information visualization (like info-graphics taken to a whole new level)
- Social network and social media design and analysis
- Interactive computing, including work with smart phones, sensors, hardware, touch screens, and more
The master's degree program is in the College of Information Studies (in Hornbake), and the students are part of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL). Learn more from the HCIL's website at http://hcil.cs.umd.edu/
