Federal Resume Writing Workshop: Presented by National Institute of Health: Employer Networking Sessions

Learn about careers at the National Institutes of Health and get help with your resume from an expert. A recruiter will show you how to get that Federal Government job or otherwise you really want by using great resume techniques. We can talk about anything or everything! If you are interested in supporting NIH’s mission to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce the burdens of illness and disability, join us! All students interested in a career with the federal government are encouraged to attend. The strategies and tips outlined by the NIH presenters are relevant to applied for any federal agency. The Washington Center: Employer Networking Sessions 
Friday, March 01, 2013 • 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. 
Location: University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library)

The Washington Center is the largest independent, nonprofit academic internship program in the country. It brings together exceptional and dedicated college students and civic, governmental and business leaders, hundreds of colleges and universities, scores of public and private host organizations (or internship sites), and more than 50,000 alumni.

Offered during spring, summer, and fall, the internship program consists of three components:

1. An internship that is tailored to your interests, skills and professional goals.

2. A leadership forum consisting of weekly events, including a speakers series, a career boot camp, a meeting on Capitol Hill and more.

3. An academic course, ranging across many disciplines, that meets one evening each week.
